* Obra presentada en la “Bienal Universitaria de Arte Multimedial” (BUAM) en el Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Quito.
La habitabilidad de cuepxs diversxs y diversidades sexuales suelen ser empujadas a espacios seleccionados y escondidos, en las cuales la fiesta surge como un ambiente empoderador, donde el torcer lx cuerpx y la convivencia implica una búsqueda identitaria, el pertenecer y la exploración de performear el género. Repensando los nuevos modos de habitar(nos) en la virtualidad, controlados por la pandemia, el espacio fiesta zoom ha sido un lugar/herramienta de conectar <video/llamar> habitar/conocer/construir, donde el cuerpo tiene otra forma de torcerse y recortarse.
La obra es trabajada en conjunto con lx bailarinx Juan Fernando León, en donde a través de la misma memoria del movimiento en fiestas virtuales, el (re)ver grabaciones de fiesta en zoom y la misma improvisación dentro de la pantalla, pone en tensión varios momentos. La sonoridad fue realizada por j0ya.
La obra explora a la pandemia y la virtualidad como medios modificadores del cuerpo. Donde el posar, recortar e imitar nuestrxs cuerpxs se traducen a formatos de <webcam>, <brillo de pantalla>, <1366 x 768 px>, <granulado de la cámara>. Cuerpxxx es la exploración del cuerpx dentro de las posibilidades de los recortes, donde se retoman varias secciones y encuadres (re) escondidas bajo los <parámetros> de zoom.

The habitability of diverse bodies and sexual diversities in Quito are often pushed to selected and hidden spaces. In which, the party emerges as an empowering environment, where body bending and coexistence implies a search for identity, the feeling of belonging and the exploration of gender performance. By rethinking the new ways of inhabiting the virtual world, influenced by the pandemic, the zoom party space has been a place/tool to connect <video/call> inhabit/know/build, where the body has another way of being distorted and cut out.
The video is worked together with the dancer Juan Fernando León, where through the same memory of the movement in virtual parties, the (re)viewing of party recordings in zoom and the same improvisation inside the screen, puts in tension several moments. The sound was made by j0ya.
The work explores the pandemic and virtuality as modifiers of the body. When posing, cropping and imitating our bodies are translated to the parameters of <webcam>, <screen brightness >, <1366 x 768 px>, <1366 x 768 px>, <grainy camera>. Cuerpxxx is the exploration of the body within the possibilities of cropping, where various sections and framings are (re)hidden under the <parameters> of zoom.
