La obra indaga sobre las construcciones físicas y políticas de nación, explora las relaciones de límites tanto naturales como geopolíticos, entendiéndolas como construcciones aleatorias. Así como abre una discusión sobre los elementos educativos y culturales que componen una identidad nacional, las cuales son transmitidas oralmente en la cotidianidad y los medios. La instalación, conformada por láminas educativas intervenidas con fibra natural de Salasaca, está pensada como una delimitación del espacio, conformando un muro cultural-educativo.
Existe un doble diálogo entre las ilustraciones de los mapas intervenidas y la información que detallan, comprendiendo a estas como únicos recursos físicos para entablar idearios sobre nación y territorio.Revisar los materiales educativos es entender los modos de educación sistemáticas y normativas de nuestro sistema educativo, donde no se cuestiona un origen o narrativa y para muchos es el único medio para aprender, reflejándose así como una verdad absoluta. “Mil veces Oh Patria” es parte del coro del himno nacional de la república del Ecuador.

This project investigates the national (Ecuador) physical and political structures, exploring the relation between natural and geopolitical boundaries, understanding them as random structures. It also opens a discussion on the educational and cultural elements that together create the concept of national identity, which are transmitted through everyday conversations and through the media. This artwork installation, made up of educational sheets (informative sheets used in public schools, in this case maps) intervened with natural fiber from Salasaca, is designed as a boundary of space, forming a cultural-educative wall. There is a duality in the understanding of the territorial boundary, one is the illustrations of the intervened maps and the other the information they detail, meaning these are the only physical resources to establish ideas of nation and territory.The idea behind the choice of working with educational material is to understand the systematic and normative ways of teaching in our educational system, where the origin and narrative are not questioned and for many it is the only path to education and learning, and is accepted as an absolute truth. "Mil veces Oh Patria" is a small part of the chorus of the national anthem of the Republic of Ecuador.
